On the 9th of December 2018, the results of the TGELF Life Challenge was released. Our group, Water4Life, did not win any prize due to the generic approach to our prototype and other flaws in our plan to move forward. Our group later disbanded.
However, when reflecting over the past decade on New Years Eve 2019, I realised that the project from 2018 has given me a platform to advocate for something I feel passionately about. I still believe that there is a message that can be spread from our social media sites (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and this blog).
There is still a need to work towards water sustainability and conservation, now more than ever. So, starting today (09/02/2020), I will be relaunching the Water4Life initiative under a new name: World Water4Life. I will primarily be using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and this blog to advocate for water conservation so please stay tuned. This battle for sustainability needs a global response because, as JK Rowling once said, "“We are only as strong as we are united".
What's New?
I am starting weekly article uploads and a new angle to this issue. The target audience will be everyone but certain articles will be specific to age groups. There will be more activity on the Twitter account (to target the younger generation) and there will be more child-friendly materials (eg. memes).
How Can You Get Involved?
Spread the word! Share this blog, read the posts and get into action because, in the end, we are all change-makers and this is our world.
